Associate Financial Analyst, F&B Operations

Overview:

The Associate Analyst, F&B Operations will partner with our internal teams - Shopper Marketing, Performance Marketing, and Commerce Marketing - to assist in analyzing financial data and providing insights to support the growth of the business. This position will work closely with the F&B Operations Management across multiple brands to analyze performance and present clear and executable solutions focused on profitable growth. Additionally, the Associate Analyst, F&B Operations will evaluate trends and identify opportunities and provide value with recommendations and analyses.

Detailed Job Duties: (typical monthly, weekly, daily tasks which support the primary objectives)

  • Define financial reporting/analysis needs, gather data, conduct research and analysis, prepare reports and present results to manager and/or executive/management team.
  • Assist the Sr. Analyst in preparation and management of the budgeting and forecasting process; collaborate with business leaders to build and monitor department budgets.
  • Collect, organize, and analyze data from various sources, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial information.
  • Prepare detailed forecasts for revenue and operating expenses and analyze financial, operational variances, and historical trends.
  • Analyze financial key metrics and provide monthly and quarterly variance explanations of performance projections against budget and forecasts.
  • Evaluate opportunities to streamline reporting processes
  • Recommend improvements to fully utilize current tools to full capacity
  • Ad-hoc projects (including preparation of quarterly board meeting presentations and offsite presentations).

The MUST Haves: (ex: job cannot be done without these skills, education, experience, certifications, licenses)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or equivalent.
  • At least one (1) prior year of relevant work experience.
  • Proficient Microsoft Excel skills – building complex financial models, working efficiently with large data sets, and preparing presentations.
  • Ability to demonstrate sound business judgment and ability to synthesize, analyze, and extract implications from data.
  • Ability to problem-solve creatively.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to collect and analyze data, and prepare complex plans and forecasts.
  • Detail oriented, able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

  • Netsuite and Sigma experience is a plus.
